the listless second without a note
changed into something all-unknown
a cool breeze pulls me into teeth of glass
the window in the corridor
which i've beheld for years or more
masticates forevermore
i hear my final breath
whistling past closing skin
resounding; never inhaling
swirling shards inside my head
blown about by razor winds
my body as disjunct from me as daily bread
disassociating pieces of no-longer me
the thing sentenced this final trudge
turned math and rhyme into sludge
my mouth and limbs becoming myth
to the impossible oppressor
until finally all that was left
a new home ruled by no sense or nonsense
but glass jaws and groans groans
free from time but chewed forever
two things trapped in endless splendour
what good is hell when all you need is a vague vestige of how life used to be?
and one listless second?
